A Love for Food, A Love for Connection

For Miguel, food has always been more than sustenance; it’s been the foundation of memories, relationships, and creativity. Growing up in Mexico City, he was immersed in a vibrant culinary culture where every meal was an experience. Some of his most cherished moments revolve around food—family dinners, cooking alongside his mother and grandmother, hosting gatherings, and exploring new places with his husband and friends.

Hawt Chocolate was born out of the desire to recreate those moments for others. Every bite is meant to transport people, evoke emotions, and spark conversations. It’s not just about making delicious chocolate—it’s about crafting an experience.

What’s in a Name?

The name Hawt started as an acronym for Having A Wonderful Time, a fitting representation of Miguel’s vision. While the word “hawt” is often used today to describe something attractive, Hawt Chocolate embodies both meanings—it’s about delivering a product that is visually stunning while creating moments of joy, indulgence, and connection.

The brand is rooted in inclusivity, representation, and support for others. It’s about more than just making exceptional chocolate—it’s about building a community around food, culture, and shared experiences.

From Culinary Training to Chocolate Artistry

Miguel’s journey with chocolate began while earning a degree in gastronomy in Mexico City. His formal training provided him with a deep understanding of flavor, technique, and presentation. But it wasn’t until two years ago that he turned his passion into a business, launching Hawt Chocolate as a way to fully express his creativity and love for food.

What began as a passion project has evolved into a thriving business, delighting chocolate lovers with bold flavors, high-quality ingredients, and rustic craftsmanship.

Bold Flavors, Inspired by Culture
